The term “jaundice” refers to the yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes. If you develop jaundice, see your doctor. It’s a red flag that has to be investigated (see below). Jaundice is a common ailment in newborns. Unlike adult jaundice, this is usually not a cause for concern.
Hypermobility refers to the fact that your joints are more flexible than others (you may think of yourself as being double-jointed). It’s possible that joint hypermobility syndrome is causing the pain.
