Broken bones (fractures)

Bone fractures are more common in the elderly and individuals with osteoporosis. If you have a broken bone, seek medical attention right away. If the injury is serious, dial 999 for an ambulance.

Cervical rib

A cervical rib is an additional rib that grows from the base of the neck slightly above the collarbone, above the first rib. It normally doesn’t create difficulties, but if it presses on neighbouring nerves and blood vessels, it can induce thoracic outlet syndrome, which is a collection of symptoms.

Dislocated shoulder

When your arm pops out of its socket, it is called a shoulder dislocation. It’s possible that the soft tissues around the shoulder are stretched or ripped. After it’s been reinstalled, it can take up to 16 weeks to heal. If you think you’ve dislocated your shoulder, go to the nearest emergency department.

Frozen shoulder

A frozen shoulder is a painful condition that causes a stiff shoulder, it can last for months or even years. Shoulder exercises, treatments and medicines can be used to treat it.

Joint pain
