Baker’s cyst (popliteal cyst)

A Baker’s cyst is a fluid-filled growth that forms behind the knee. It’s caused by swollen and inflammatory tissue beneath the knee joint. They’re more common in women and those over the age of 40. If you have the symptoms and they don’t go away, see a doctor.

Embolism

Symptoms Include:
Pain | Pale | Absent pulse | Muscle weakness

 

A foreign body, such as a blood clot, causes an embolism, which is a blockage in an artery. Because the blood supply to that region of the body is cut off, it loses some or all of its function. If you or someone else has an embolism, call 999 immediately.

Heel pain

Most heel discomfort can be relieved at home. If your heel discomfort persists, you should consult a doctor.

Hereditary spastic paraplegia

Symptoms Include:
Muscle weakness | Stiffness | Reduced sensation | Need to pee

 

Hereditary spastic paraplegia refers to a range of rare genetic illnesses that produce leg muscle weakness and stiffness. Over time, the symptoms get more severe. Because hereditary spastic paraplegia is frequently misdiagnosed, it’s difficult to tell how many people have it.

Knee pain

Knee discomfort is frequently treatable at home. In a few days, you should start to feel better. If the pain is severe or persists for an extended period of time, you should consult a doctor.

Leg cramps

Shin splints are a pain in the shins, or front of the lower legs, that is usually induced by exercise. They are usually treatable at home and should improve in a matter of weeks. If your discomfort persists despite the above therapies, see a doctor.

Thrombophilia

Symptoms Include:
Blood clot

 

Thrombophilia is a condition in which blood has an increased tendency to clot. The majority of patients with thrombophilia have no symptoms. Only when thrombophilia forms a blood clot do symptoms appear. If you have any of the symptoms listed in the symptoms section below, see a doctor right away.
