Asthma Treatment

In the UK, over 8 million people, or approximately 12% of the population, have been diagnosed with asthma. An Individual With Asthma Will Have Compromised Levels Of Oxygen.

Asthma is a condition in which your airways narrow and swell and may produce extra mucus. This can make breathing difficult and trigger coughing, a whistling sound (wheezing) when you breathe out and shortness of breath.

Asthma Treatment

Hypoxia is a term used to describe low oxygen levels in the tissues and brain of someone who has asthma. This will result in poor performance and illness progression. Because hyperbaric oxygen causes greater oxygenation at the tissue level, it may be able to compensate for the body’s hypoxic environment. HBOT produces a more conducive atmosphere for the healing of certain illnesses.

HBOT not only relieves asthma symptoms, but it also affects long-term change by modulating gene expression — inflammatory genes are turned off, while growth and repair genes are turned on. HBOT has been shown to improve the body’s natural ability to heal and regenerate in various clinical studies.

Oxygen is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent, and it has been used to treat asthma, particularly at high atmospheric pressures.
